It doesn't include the required 9v battery. The rubber-ish bumper is stiff, and the included probes are quite cheap. There are only high AC voltage ranges, and no AC current mode, and no capacitance. But this thing was less than $20! and for that, it's pretty great. I was attracted by the convenient manual ranges; the buttons are good; it's pretty fast, and accurate in all the ranges I've used. It really does the job, better than I expected. Absolutely great for a kid's first meter, or (in my case) a hobbyist's second meter, if you have a nicer primary one, and need to measure multiple things more conveniently. You'll want to get better probes pretty soon, if you don't already have some (or other test leads e.g. banana to alligator clip).
