    Best way to check for bad light on series strings of Christmas lights. It works, although I did have a string on a pre-strung tree that I had to replace the whole string. This does accurately show power on a light cord or outlet without direct contact with the connections. Was easy to use. Just hold near to the line or electrical element and it will sound an alarm and flash if power is detected. It has six sensitivity levels.

    Easy to use, instructions are fast to read and concise. Not a professional, so appreciate how easy this is to use. Especially nice that it uses lights AND sound, plus has a built-in flashlight. Very comparable to the more expensive name brand ones.

    Avoid getting shocked by testing with this hand held current sensor.
